Saint-Lambert, Quebec is a borough of the city of Longueuil, on the south shore of Montreal, and on the bank of the St. Lawrence River. It was an independent city until January 1, 2002, when it was merged using Le-Moyne into the freshly Longueuil mega-city. There has been the hard "de-merger" movement & a referendum was won within June 2004 to reestablish the previous city.
